1. ISN'T HEMP ILLEGAL?

No, hemp is not illegal! There's a common misconception that Hemp is the same a Marijuana. These days you can buy all types of hemp products due to the many benefits the plant offers.

There's no illegal substances (CBD/THC) in Hemp seed oil, Hemp protein or Hemp Seeds which we use to make our Hemp Extract.

2. WHAT IS HEMP SEED OIL?

Hemp is the industrial counterpart of cannabis. Hemp has almost zero level of TetraHydraCannabinol (THC), which is responsible for psychoactive element in recreational cannabis. The hemp seeds and hemp seed oil is loaded with vital nutrients, Essential fatty acids Omega-3, Omega-6 and Omega-9, 21 amino acids including 9 essential amino acids which are not produced by our body, magnesium, protein, fibre, iron, vitamin D, potassium and more minerals

3. WHAT ARE THE ADDITIONAL BENEFITS OF HEMP PRODUCTS? 

Hemp oil easily penetrates into the last layer of the skin and right into the blood cells, and thanks to the fatty acids in the ratio our body accepts, it improves the immunity and fights any kind of skin condition easily and effectively. 

4. ARE THE JUSTBLiSS PRODUCTS VEGAN FRIENDLY?

No, not 100%, but close. We only use plant based, not animal based, ingredients. Ingredients used that are not considerate "vegan", are Camel Milk, Goats Milk, Honey and Beeswax. 

5. ARE THE INGREDIENTS SAFE? 

The ingredients used in our products are 100% naturalsafelegal and environment friendly. We do NOT use potent chemicals in our products, we aim to use as many organic naturally derived ingredients as possible. 

6. WHO CAN USE JUSTBLiSS PRODUCTS? 

We only uses 100% natural cold pressed plant based oils and butters, and 100% pure steam distilled essential oils. All fragrance oils are phthalate free!  Our products can be used safely by all including infants above 6 months, even pregnant woman - although we do recommend our PURE collection for infants and pregnant woman. 

7.  I HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN, CAN I USE YOUR PRODUCTS?

While we are not doctors and cannot directly address any skin conditions, all of our products are made from gentle, plant based ingredients. Hemp is fantastic for sensitive skin! As is Prickly Pear Oil, Aloe Vera, Green Tea, Panthenol (or Vitamin B5) and Shea Butter, which are included in many of our products.

Always read the ingredients to make sure there is nothing you are allergic to and feel free to reach out to us with any questions.

8.  DO YOUR SOAPS LATHER?

Yes!! Our recipe is carefully formulated to create long-lasting hard bars that produce loads of sudsy bubbles.

9.  DO YOUR SOAPS MELT?

No!  We use the cold process method of soap making, which produces long lasting bars that won't melt in the heat.  We recommend keeping soap out of the stream of running water and in a well draining soap dish to maximize their life expectancy.  

10. MY PRODUCT HAS CHANGED IN CONSISTENCY; WHY DID THAT HAPPEN?

There are times when the consistency of product changes, but it does not mean the product has expired or gone bad. This is the expected behaviour of a natural product. 

As the products are hand crafted with skin-loving natural essential oils, preservative free natural ingredients, they may show a change in colour or consistency when exposed to heat or fluctuation in temperature. But the product remains just as potent and effective as it was when you brought it.

Not just that, even if you order the same product again, you might find there is difference in texture, colour, consistency and may be the fragrance, because it’s all natural ingredients and they may vary from one batch to another.

If the product is within the expiration date it is mostly fine to use it. However, make sure that the product is stored in a cool dry place. Still if you have doubt, take up a patch test. 

11. HOW DO I PERFORM A PATCH TEST?

Usually patch tests are done to test a new product. But you can certainly test anything, as it’s very simple method. Take a small sample of the product in your palm and apply it on the inside of your wrists or inner arm (these areas have skin texture bit similar to facial skin) and leave it there for up to 24 hrs. If there is any irritation or redness or any roughness on skin, please do not use the product. However, if there is no reaction, you can safely use the product. 

12. WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE OF THE PRODUCT?

We believes in producing small batches of their product, fresh-on-order to ensure a consistent freshness and quality. This idea behind is to retain the properties of all the active ingredients in order to get desired performance.

Since products are preservative free and using all natural ingredients, they have small shelf life. Hence they are packed in small packaging with guidelines on how to use. It is mentioned on all products, for maximum benefits and freshness of all natural and organic products, they should be kept in a cool, dry place and used within 6 months of purchase. 

Please note that there are ways to improve shelf life by keeping products away from direct sunlight, at a stable room temperature, with caps and lids tightly closed, and by using clean fingers to apply. 

13. DO I NEED TO STORE JUSTBLiSS PRODUCTS IN THE FRIDGE? 

No, our products are stable to an ambient temperature of 30-35⁰ C. However, we do recommend that the products should not be exposed to direct sunlight or excessive heat.

14. MY PRODUCT SMELLS A BIT DIFFERENT FROM LAST TIME, WHY?

It is not possible to regulate the aroma of natural skin care products without the use of fragrances/essential oils. There might be a slight change in smell from batch to batch or over time, but this is only a good news. It is a sign of reassurance that your product is truly natural. Natural ingredients are affected by varied farming practices, amount of sunshine, rains, growth and harvest etc. 

You notice a change in aroma mainly because the essential oil blends do change after a few months, but it does not mean that they are spoiled. That’s completely normal with chemical free product.

Yes you can! Our gift cards are available for purchase in-person and through our website. No, they do not expire.

20. WHERE ARE ALL THE JUSTBLiSS PRODUCTS MADE?

We make all of our products in-house here in Bloemfontein, South Africa.  We make our product in small batches to ensure you receive the freshest product possible!

21. ARE JUSTBLiSS PRODUCTS MADE FROM NATURAL INGREDIENTS?

No nasties here! We use all naturally derived ingredients including botanicals and super-food extracts to feed your skin. All ingredients serve a purpose, meaning there's no fillers to make things sound fancy!
