Going for "CLEAN BEAUTY" when it comes to skincare is crucial for both health and appearance. Using clean, plant based, organic skincare for your face and body, you make a CHOICE to go for ingredients that work synergistically with the sophisticated natural systems of your skin.
Our bodies need wholesome nutrients to be absorbed not only through food but also through the largest organ we have: our skin. When the skin comes in contact with organic plant products, it has the ability to care for and mend itself and to reveal the most gorgeous YOU.
It is of crucial importance what you put on your skin. It is after all our body’s largest organ and we don’t want to overburden it with harsh chemicals or toxins.
WHAT REALLY IS "CLEAN BEAUTY" ?
Cancer. Endocrine disruption. Bioaccumulation. Contamination. Neurotoxicity. Infertility. Organ system toxicity. Not something anyone would want to wake up to, right? There is a lot of “green-washing” going on everywhere in the beauty industry. Manufacturers obviously realised that there is a huge market for better, cleaner, and greener products out there, as consumers are become better informed and demanding less toxic products.
Our philosophy about Clean Beauty can be broken down to the following points which we go by when formulating all JUSTBLiSS products:
They are meant not only for beauty but also for wellbeing and health
We go for the gentle but mighty power of plants in doses that are high enough to be effective but low enough to not be harsh and cause any reaction of the skin.
They are clean for people and for the planet
We try to get all ingredients from sustainable farmers or suppliers. We also try to stay away from plastic packaging (if possible) and recycle glass bottles where possible.
They are safe and made in a hygienic way
We practice utmost hygiene while formulating all products. What would be the point of making these skin-healthy serums and lotions if they would be contaminated with microbes from the get-go? We also ONLY use natural, ECOcert approved preservatives in water-based products to prevent microbial growth.
After I (Ansulene) decided to drastically go the natural way of selfcare (and skincare), I stood in front of my bathroom vanity and looked at the dozens of products: Cleansers, Toners, Exfoliants, Face Cream for the morning, Face cream for the night, Eye gel, Eye creamn, and so on. Then I picked one and looked at the list of ingredients on the back of the jar.
