BODY & FACIAL SCRUB: Activated Charcoal. Detox (250g)
The wonderful skin benefiting properties of activated charcoal is no secret. It is just an excellent ingredient when it comes to cleansing and exfoliating the skin.
HOW TO USE?
Take a small amount of the scrub and massage it all over your face, neck and/or body. Be careful not to rub too hard, so that you can avoid unnecessary redness or peeling. Also, be particularly careful not to get the scrub in your eyes. Massage for 3 minutes, and then wash off. Use this scrub twice per week.

For the face
1. Before you start: Do a patch test first to ensure you do not have a sensitivity to the product.
2. Prepare your skin: Splash your face with lukewarm water to open your pores.
3. Apply the scrub: Squeeze a small amount of the product onto your fingertips.
4. Massage gently: Using small, circular motions, lightly massage the scrub over your face and neck. Concentrate on oily areas like the nose, chin, and forehead.
5. Wait (optional): For a deeper cleansing, leave the scrub on for a minute or two, allowing the charcoal to draw out impurities.
6. Rinse thoroughly: Wash off the scrub with warm water, ensuring no residue is left behind.
7. Moisturize: Gently pat your skin dry with a clean towel and apply a hydrating moisturizer. This prevents your skin from over-drying and compensates for any oils removed during exfoliation.
Frequency of use for the face
1. Oily skin: Up to three times per week.
2. Normal or combination skin: Twice per week.
3. Dry or sensitive skin: Once a week to avoid irritation and over-drying.
For the body
1. Soften your skin: Shower with warm water for a few minutes to soften your skin, especially on rougher areas like the elbows and knees.
2. Apply the scrub: Scoop a handful of the scrub and massage it over your entire body in circular motions. Pay extra attention to rougher, drier areas.
3. Allow time to work: Let the scrub sit on your skin for a minute to allow the charcoal to draw out oil and dirt.
4. Rinse completely: Rinse off the scrub with warm water, making sure to wash away all black residue.
5. Moisturize: After patting your skin dry, apply a body moisturizer to lock in hydration.
Important tips and considerations
Avoid over-exfoliating: Using a charcoal scrub too often can strip your skin of its natural oils, leading to dryness, irritation, and even more breakouts.
Be gentle: Do not scrub too hard, especially on the face. Gentle, circular massaging is all that is needed for the charcoal and exfoliating particles to work.
Prevent stains: Charcoal can stain light-colored fabrics, so avoid using your best white towels to pat your skin dry.
Avoid the eyes: Keep the scrub away from your eyes to prevent irritation or scratches.
