1. Prepare your bath: Run the bathwater to a warm, comfortable temperature. A water temperature between 30-40°C is recommended for balneotherapy.
2. Add the salt: Add 1 to 2 cups of Dead Sea salt to the warm running water.
3. Dissolve and soak: Stir the salt to help it dissolve completely. Soak in the bath for 10 to 20 minutes.
4. Exfoliate (Optional): While soaking, you can gently rub the salt into your skin in smooth, circular motions to help remove dead skin cells and impurities.
5. Rinse and dry: After your bath, rinse your body with warm water and gently pat your skin dry with a clean towel, rather than rubbing, to avoid irritation.
6. Moisturize: Apply a moisturizer to your skin immediately after the bath to retain moisture.
Important considerations:
1. For sensitive skin: Start with a smaller amount of salt to gauge your skin's tolerance.
2. For eczema: Be mindful that salt water can sting if skin is broken. For eczema, limit bath time to 5-10 minutes and consult a doctor for guidance.
3. For muscle relief: The minerals in Dead Sea salt can help ease muscle aches and tension.
4. Consult a doctor: If you have high blood pressure or other medical conditions, or if you are pregnant, consult your doctor before use.
